Kenneth H. Courtney, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, received his Bachelor of Music degree, Cum Laude, in Organ Performance from the University of Memphis, and his Master of Music degree in Organ Performance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He has also studied choral conducting and group vocal techniques at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey.

Having served Presbyterian Churches in the south since 1979, Mr. Courtney is in his 19^th year as Director of Music/Organist at Aiken's First Presbyterian Church, where he directs an active Music Ministry that includes the Midday Music & Lunch Concert Series. In addition to his position at First Presbyterian Church, he is an adjunct faculty member at the University of South Carolina Aiken, where he teaches Organ, World Music, and Introduction to Music, in the Visual and Performing Arts Department.

A native of Augusta, Georgia, Louis Playford holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Syracuse University, a Graduate Diploma from Saint Louis Conservatory of Music and a D.M.A. from American Conservatory of Music, all in piano performance. He pursued additional studies at l'Ecole Hindemith in Switzerland, Augusta College, Roosevelt University, VanderCook College of Music and the Sherwood Music School. His organ studies were with Will Headlee, Jack C. Goode, Jamie Council Garvey, Kathleen Thomerson and John Schaeffer. As organist he has performed with the Chicago Opera Theater, Ars Musica Chicago, the Columbia County Choral Society, the Masterworks Chorale and the choir of The Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Currently he serves as organist at Saint John's United Methodist Church in Aiken, South Carolina, as staff accompanist at Augusta State University, and he teaches piano in the Conservatory Program at ASU.
